I started out with Instant Tax Service as one of the first income tax franchisees in Cincinnati, Ohio back in 2004. Having found success in operating those stores, I looked to expand my role within the company with additional business opportunities.

As most of the territories in the Cincinnati market were occupied, I looked outside of my hometown for a territory without an Instant Tax Service presence that would really challenge me. I decided to work on developing the Nashville and Memphis, Tennessee markets last year.

While this was a new experience for me, I was able to add to the success of my first-year franchisees by sharing my knowledge of the business. I provided them with various levels of support including site selection, training employees, and strategic planning. Being able to pass along my knowledge of store development put my franchisees at a much higher level of productivity and greater comfort level with this business opportunity while navigating their first year.
